Best and Worst States for Women | All States 

 
The States reports rank and grade the best and worst states for women, presenting data for on 30 indicators of women’s status and ranks each state for women’s overall status in five areas: political participation, employment and earnings, social and economic autonomy, reproductive rights, and health and well-being.  The report is published by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR), a Washington, D.C.-based research organization.  Edited by IWPR Study Director Dr. Amy Caiazza, this is the 4th edition in the States series and presents an updated national overview and 9 State reports:

The Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) is a public policy research organization dedicated to informing and stimulating the debate on public policy issues of critical importance to women and their families. IWPR focuses on issues that affect women’s daily lives, including employment, earnings, and economic change; democracy and society; poverty, welfare, and income security; work and family policies; and health and safety.
