Despite gains in women's economic, political and reproductive health status, research and everyday experience demonstrate that the work of those committed to improving women's status is far from complete. Building coalitions among researchers, advocates and legislators within and among states is key to strengthening policy strategies and research that seek to improve women's status. That is why the Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR) created the Policy Listserv and Strategy Exchange (PuLSE), made possible by a generous grant from the Rockefeller Family Fund.

Developed in response to a demand for a convenient forum for broad-based communication between individuals interested in improving the current social, political and economic status of women, the IWPR PuLSE provides the opportunity to share your work, ideas, and concerns. Suggested topics include employment and earnings, childcare, income support programs, pay equity, affirmative action, pensions and social security, reproductive rights, sexuality and body image, violence against women, women's health, women's political participation and issues affecting low-income income. We welcome participation by all individuals invested in improving women's status and encourage discussion of disparities and diversity among women.

Use your full name, not your e-mail address. The listserv software can read your email address automatically. When you sign up you will receive a welcome message providing further instructions for the listserv.
