"Now, part of that gap can be accounted for by the differences between men and women in the number of hours worked and the occupations chosen — take that into account and the gap is smaller. But those things also have an inherent gender bias because the “choices” women make are often based on slow-evolving gender constructs about who should do the majority of child-rearing and home-making.
