On Monday, February 13, ROC-United released a new report in conjunction with the Institute for Women's Policy Research and other organizations. Tipped Over the Edge: Gender Inequity in the Restaurant Industry finds that women are disproportionately impacted by low hourly wages in the restaurant industry--one of the largest and fastest growing sectors in the U.S. economy that also has some of the nation's lowest-wage jobs. |
