Post-Recession, Americans' Support for Social Security Continues Across Party Lines

The Great Recession of 2007-2009 has severely affected Americans' economic wellbeing and confidence in securing a good retirement. According to a survey from the Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR) funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, support for the Social Security system remains strong across lines of gender, age, race/ethnicity, and political affiliation, in this time of economic uncertainty. |
