The Status of Women in the States reports have been used throughout the country to highlight remaining obstacles facing women in the United States and to encourage policy changes designed to improve women’s status. Data on the status of women give citizens the information they need to address the key issues facing women and their families. The national report is shipped with a set of accompanying summaries of the national findings, a 6-page Research-in-Brief of “Highlights” (R265), and one 2-page Fact Sheet (R291). Each individual state report is a current and comprehensive study of women’s status in that state and highligh ts Native American women and other women of color. Every report is shipped with its accompanying Fact Sheet.
