Travel Information
American Airlines is the official airline of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research Conference. Once you have registered for the conference, contact IWPR for the Starfile Authorization Number to receive discounted fares. If you or your travel agent call American Airlines at 1-800-433-1790 to book your reservation, you will receive a 10% discount on Coach Class tickets (or 15% on First Class tickets) purchased at least 30 days in advance, or a 5% discount for Coach Class tickets (10% on First Class tickets) purchased less than 30 days in advance. These discounts apply to travel on American Airlines, American Eagle, Aer Lingus, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Lan Chile, and Qantas.

*Discounts on cars rented for conference travel through Avis Rent-a-Car are also available to attendees. Contact Dianne Munevar at IWPR for more information about either of these discounts.

Hotel Information
All conference activities will take place at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert St. (at Connecticut Ave.), NW, Washington, DC. The Omni Shoreham is a AAA Four Diamond-rated Hotel and a historic landmark of the city, nestled in DC’s Rock Creek Park. The special conference rate for the hotel’s large and luxurious rooms is $175 per night, single/double. To reserve your room, call the Omni Shoreham at (202) 234-0700 or 1-800-THE-OMNI before May 29, 2005. Be sure to tell them that you are attending the Institute for Women’s Policy Research Conference. Reservation requests after this date will be accepted on the basis of space and availability. Accommodations are also expected to be available at the George Washington University dormitories.
